Permits & Inspections

City of Robinson is now utilizing mygov for permits and inspections. If you have not registered through the City of Robinson's mygov account please follow the instructions below.

Apply Online



Step 1: Register as a contractor at MyGov, you will need to select "Request a New Registration". Once registered you can accomplish steps 2 through 4 on your mygov account.

Step 2: Once approved as a contractor, you can submit your permit request.

Step 3: Make sure to attach construction or site plans. Please click on Check Sheets for more information for New Residential Permits and Commercial Permits.

Step 4: After your permit request has been reviewed and approved, you will be able to make payment. The Building Department Fee Schedule can be found in the Fee Schedule section.

Step 1: Please complete application and include construction or site plans. Click on Check Sheets for New Residential Permits and Commercial Permits. 

Step 2: Submit application in person at 111 W. Lyndale Avenue, Robinson, TX 76706 or via email @ j.french@robinsontexas.org

Step 3: You will receive an email notification once application has been received.

Step 4: Once the application has been received, reviewed, and approved, you will be contacted for payment. Click to see the Building Department Fee Schedule.

Request an Inspection

To request an inspection, call City Hall to make an appointment at 254-662-1415 or complete request for inspection online from your mygov account by clicking here. Inspections will only be completed Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. 


Building Standards


The City of Robinson is currently using the 2015 Energy Code2012 International Code Council (ICC) and 2011 National Electric Code (NEC) for building standards. Setback requirements can be found in the Code of Ordinances. For buildings that are on septic systems, the Waco McLennan County Public Health District governs the plans and installation.
